Set 4 miles from the breathtakingly beautiful North Devon Coast this family run complex is peacefully located within 12 acres of grounds surrounded by nature, with outstanding views over the glorious Devon countryside. Moorhead Country Weddings is the perfect choice for any couples DIY Wedding, for both intimate and larger events. Moorhead provides the flexibility to transform your wedding into your own unique design, accommodating any style, whether, rustic, vintage, festival, tipi or just keep it traditional! Facilities and capacity
You'll be free to create a completely individual day. Your bespoke wedding package includes exclusive use of the grounds for 2- 3 days. There are a number of ceremony spots. Choose from the natural green environment, woodland area or stunning fishing lake. At Moorhead you can be as creative as you want to be, ready for the "I do" You can take a walk around the woodland path or our beautiful lake before returning to your celebrations.
We provide the choice of a marquee seating up of up to 150 guests which has electricity and water supplied, or an indoor function area for smaller weddings of up to 70, both provide a staffed bar.
You and your guests can be accommodated together, as our complex comprises 15 self catering properties sleeping up to 52 guests. In the grounds we have 9 apartments for families, accommodating between 3 and 6 people. In the attached barn complex we offer 6 apartments for couples. There is ample parking for guests.
The complex has fantastic on-site facilities including a fully licensed bar, heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub area, a gym, full size snooker table and a games room with pool table, table football and darts. There is plenty to keep you entertained at Moorhead. We have a well-stocked coarse fishing lake, there is also a "Just for Fun" 9-hole pitch and putt, and full size Boulee court.
Services offered
Our basic package starts at £5,000 (off peak) with additional services and accommodation charged accordingly.
Packages are based on a 2 night stay.
Our marquee seats up to 150 guests, and our function room up to 70 guests.
Exclusive use is from 12pm on Friday to 12pm on Sunday.
Silver and Gold package prices are based on the accommodation booked by your guests. For exclusive use, during peak times, a surcharge will be added for any accomodation not booked.
