Thank you for choosing to book your holiday at Moorhead Country Holidays. Here are our terms and conditions of hire, please do not hesitate to call or email if there are any points you wish to discuss with us, we will be happy to help. 
 
The contract for hire of your holiday rental cottage is between the owners of Moorhead Country Holidays and the person making the booking ie the Hirer. You must be over the age of 18 and authorised to accept these terms and conditions by all persons named on your signed booking form. Bookings are non transferable (If you are not one of the guests, all guest names must be stated on the booking form). We cater primarily for family and couple holidays therefore single sex groups and younger parties are not generally permitted. 
 
The contract of hire is not effective until we dispatch to you written confirmation of your booking. 

Payment 

Telephone, e-mail or online bookings remain provisional until we have received your cleared deposit/full payment plus booking form (when booking on-line you will receive an initial summary of your booking by email, this does not form a contract between us). Once payment is cleared, you will receive email receipt of your payment and confirmation of your booking. Provisional bookings can only be held for 7 days by arrangement only. 
 
Bookings in school holidays are for 7 or 14 night stays only with check ins on Fridays and Saturdays only. 
 
A deposit of 25% of the total amount due is payable to secure your booking. The balance is payable 5 weeks before the start of your holiday (we will issue reminders). Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival must be paid in full.  
 
It is your responsibility to ensure you have received a written booking confirmation. Please contact us if you think something has gone wrong. 
 
Once we have issued confirmation of booking you are responsible for paying the full rental fee. We reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received 5 weeks before your arrival date. 
 
If for any reason we are unable to proceed from a provisional to a confirmed booking we will refund any monies paid by you. 
 
VAT of 20% is included in our prices which are subject to change if VAT rates change. 

Cancellation 

If you have to cancel, please advise us immediately by phone and confirm by email or in writing. 
 
The full balance is payable 5 weeks prior to arrival, if cancellation is made after this you remain responsible for paying the full rental fee.  
All deposits of 25% will not be refundable, unless cancelled within 48 hours. We recommend you take out your own holiday cancellation insurance. 
 
In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you immediately and refund all monies paid to us. In the unlikely event that we are forced to terminate your holiday once started due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund an appropriate proportion of monies paid to us. No further liability will be accepted. 

Accomodation 

The accomodation is available from 4pm on arrival date and must be vacated by 10am at the latest on departure day, to allow us to clean and carry out essential maintenance. On occasion we may be able to extend the check out time which is charged at £10 per hour please ask if you have specific requirements which we will endeavour to accommodate. 
 
You are responsible for the cottage and amenities during your holiday and you are expected to take reasonable care of fixtures, fittings and furnishing. 
 
Please do not rearrange the furniture. 
 
Please leave the cottage clean and tidy. 
 
If you find anything damaged on arrival, please inform us. Any damage or breakages during your stay must be notified and paid for. We do not normally charge for minor accidental damage but we do need to know straight away so that we can repair or replace damaged items for you and future guests. We reserve the right to make a charge for repair or replacement and for the cost of extra cleaning should this prove necessary. 
 
Use of the accommodation and amenities at Moorhead Country Holidays is unsupervised and entirely at the user’s risk. We accept no liability for any accident or injury to any guest or visitor. We accept no liability for any loss or damage to guests’ or visitors’ belongings or vehicles. 
 
You are solely responsible for the access code to the swimming pool facility. You agree to the rules of the pool, in particular, to ensure that children under 16 are supervised by an adult at all times, No under 10's in the hot tub, inflatable's and noddle's are not permitted, no Jumping or diving, and to ensure that the outer door is locked when vacating the facility. 
 
Children, babies, dogs and any adults requiring care remains your responsibility at all times while on our site, paying particular attention to supervision in the play park/trampoline area, and near or around the fishing lake and natural pool. 
 
Please make yourself aware of fishing rules. 
 
We have a no smoking / vaping policy inside the apartments and all other enclosed spaces. Please ensure all guests are aware of this condition before booking as we charge a £100 cleaning fee. Please ask for an ash tray on arrival for use outside only. 
 
In order to safeguard the comfort and security of all guests staying at Moorhead Country Holidays only the guests listed on your booking form can occupy your property. Additional guests cannot be added to a booking once the booking is confirmed. The use of our grounds and amenities is only for the guests listed on your booking form unless agreed in advance with us, if so use of onsite facilities will be charged – we reserve the right to ask any unauthorised person to leave immediately. 
 
Please be mindful of other guests staying on site at all times and respect their peace and tranquillity. We have a zero tolerance of anti-social behaviour and any illegal substances. If in our opinion any person is not suitable to continue their occupancy because of unreasonable behaviour or nuisance to other guests, the contract may be discharged and we may repossess the property immediately with no refund. 
 
Sorry BBQ's are not permitted. 
 
Receception is open on Sundays from 9 am - 10pm after this we have an emergancy number displayed on the reception desk. 
For the rest of the weeks opening times please see them displayed at reception. 
 
Dogs are allowed in Bluebell by arrangement with us. In the interests of your dog’s wellbeing and the safety and hygiene of all guests on site we have guidelines which are displayed in Bluebell. Please note that dogs must not be left unattended in your cottage when you leave the site. We have dog crates available to secure your dog when you wish to use our amenities. 
 

Restaurant & Bar 

During quiet times Moorhead restaurant will be closed (October 31st - March 31st) with exception to New Year breaks. 
 
Our bar and restaurant is open only to holiday guests. 
 
During quiet times (non school holidays) Moorhead bar is by request only untill 8.30pm where we have a bell for service on the door. 
 
Opening times are displayed in all welcome books and on entrances. 
 
Our bar is closed on Bank Holiday Mondays, Christmas/Boxing day 

Parking 

There is plenty of parking available on our site but all vehicles are left at their owners risk. 
Please note in winter months it can be very dark in the evenings, a tourch is recomomended. 

Services 

All services that are servicing the properties for example Energy, Electric, Water and broadband are included within the price. 
 
We won't be liable to any user for; 
The use or reliance on any content displayed on our website 
Any temporary defect or stoppage of Energy, electricity, water or broadband, during your stay. (i.e power cuts). 
For any loss or theft of property that belongs to the client or the people within their responsibility. 
For any loss, damage or injury that is a result of any adverse weather conditions, riot, war strikes or any other matter that is beyond the reasonable control of the owner. 
Any loss or theft due to online fraud that is outside of our control. 
On occassion onsite facilities including the swimming pool may be closed due to maintenance or repairs, we will always try our best to reopen as soon as possible. 

Promotions 

All promotional codes can only be redeemed for online bookings using a valid Promo code. 
Promo codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, the higher amount of discount will be applied to the booking, by the lead guest online. 
All promo codes have an expiry date which is clearly stated. All offers are for holiday makers only with a maximum of a 7 night stay and does not include dog friendly properties. 
 
Promotions with low deposits - Per property booked, full payment will be due 8 weeks prior to arrival. 
 
Any returning guest can take advantage of a 5% discount either by booking online using reference 'returning guest' or over the phone quoting 'returning guest'.  
This discount will not be applied by Moorhead Country Holidays after a booking has been made. This offer is only valid for guests who have stayed since 2018 and canot be transfered. This offer is valid throughout the year and canot be used in conjunction with any other promotion.  
 
For any competitions, the winner will be notified within one week of the draw date, and a name will be published via social media.

Our Website 

From time to time we may update our website and can change the content at any time. That said we cannot guarantee that the content on our website is up-to date at any given time and are under no obligation to update it. 
 
We also don't guarantee that our website and the content on it is free from errors and omissions. 
 
 

Christmas & New Year 

Christmas/New Year Breaks facility times may vary, information will be given on arrival or prior to your booking. 
 
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day the complex is closed, however access to the games room is via the garden door only, management will only be available for emergencies either using the bell at reception or calling the number displayed at reception. 

Complaints & Concerns 

All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that descriptions given to you in relation to a particular apartment are accurate. You acknowledge that minor differences may arise between photographs, descriptions and illustrations and the actual cottage.. 

Your Contract 

A binding contract exists when your booking is accepted by us. The contract is governed by English Law and interpretation. It is mutually understood and agreed that the contract is made at Moorhead Country Holidays and that any dispute, claim or any other matter that arises out of this contract shall be conducted in the County Court nearest to the owners.
